Course material investigation of TRT Çocuk Magazine in terms of social studies program


The most important element in the selection of the course material is the target audience. One of the most important materials that will be a guide for the students' learning is children's magazines. The main function of children's magazines is to entertain and entertain while teaching. Primary level is the period in which children try to make sense of the new new environment, and they gain basic knowledge and skills and take significant distances in the process of socialization. For this reason, in terms of gaining the skills, values and concepts of the social studies course which is vital, journals are important sources and sometimes they should be the main source of the course. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the content presented by TRT Çocuk Magazine reflects the basic acquisitions, skill values and concepts of Social Studies Education and to determine the level of usability of TRT Çocuk magazine as a course material. In order to obtain the desired achievements, the study of TRT Çocuk magazine in terms of social studies lesson is important for being a resource for social studies teachers, researchers and publishers who will use the journal as in-class material. Document analysis technique was used in research qualitative research methods. This study is limited to TRT Children's Journals published in 2018. The universe of the research is TRT children's magazine. The study consciously adhered to the principle of actuality, and the number of children published in TRT Cocuk magazine was published in 2018.
